Why work with Franchise Starters?

A familiar brand is only the beginning.

A franchise is a relationship, an operating model and a commitment of your time and capital. The right questions go well beyond whether you like the product.

FSG’s work across franchise development, training, marketing, store design and candidate recruitment helps us look at the business behind the name. We bring that perspective to your search.

Before you begin

Questions about buying a franchise.

Do I need to know which franchise I want?
No. Start with your interests, preferred area and the kind of ownership role you want. FSG can help you focus your search and discuss potential options. If a specific brand already interests you, tell us in the form.
How can FSG help me compare franchise systems?
We bring experience in developing franchise systems, operating standards, store projects and franchise sales. We can help you identify questions about investment, training, day-to-day involvement, territory and support, and discuss introductions where appropriate.
Do I need previous business ownership experience?
You can inquire whether this would be your first business or your next location. Each franchise has its own experience, capital and involvement requirements. We will discuss your background and what you are looking for.
How much money do I need to buy a franchise?
Investment requirements vary by brand, format, location and the costs of opening and operating the business. A useful comparison considers the franchise fee, setup costs, working capital and ongoing charges. Share a broad range if you have one; you do not need to provide financial records with your initial inquiry.
Is there a fee for FSG’s help?
FSG will explain the proposed scope, any fees and any relevant franchisor compensation or business relationships before you choose to proceed. Submitting an inquiry does not commit you to buying a franchise.
Are the brands shown on this page available to buy?
Images illustrate business types, while identified project examples describe FSG’s past work. They do not confirm that a pictured brand is currently available through FSG. Current opportunities, representation and territory availability must be confirmed for your search. We will discuss the options relevant to your goals and area.
What happens to the information I share?
Your inquiry is held in confidence and is used to respond to and support your franchise search. We do not sell your information. Access is limited to authorized personnel and service providers who need it for that purpose, subject to confidentiality obligations. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA where it applies. We will ask before sharing your details with a franchise brand. You can contact FSG to ask about access, correction or deletion, or to stop follow-up.
What should I do before making a final decision?
Investigate the opportunity, speak with current franchisees, understand the full investment and operating commitments, and review the documents with independent legal and accounting advisors. FSG can help organize your search and questions; the decision to proceed is yours.
