Franchise Starters Group Inc.
Privacy Policy
Draft for review · September 26, 2026
Draft policy. Final wording and operating practices must be confirmed before launch.
Franchise Starters Group Inc. (FSG), based in Ajax, Ontario, is committed to protecting personal information and keeping the business information entrusted to us in strict confidence. This policy explains how we handle information in connection with our website, inquiries and services.
Information and purposes
Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect your name, contact details, company information, franchise preferences, correspondence, account and billing details, and records you choose to submit for a Restaurant Performance Review. We use relevant information to answer inquiries, deliver the services you request, administer engagements, process payments, support accounts and meet applicable legal obligations.
Share only information you are authorized to provide. Remove unrelated employee or customer details, bank account numbers and other unnecessary identifiers from business records. Complete disclosure is not required for a review, although more thorough and relevant information can support a more useful analysis.
Consent and choices
We explain why information is requested and seek consent where required by applicable law. You may withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting FSG. We will explain if this affects a service we can provide. Marketing communications are optional; you can unsubscribe without cancelling your service.
Confidentiality and sharing
We do not sell customer data. Access to confidential business records is limited to authorized personnel and service providers who need the information for the agreed service and are subject to confidentiality obligations. We ask for your permission before sharing a franchise buyer’s inquiry with a franchise brand. Other disclosures require your consent or a basis permitted or required by law.
Providers may support payment processing, hosting, document handling and customer communications. The locations in which information is processed depend on the providers used for the service. Processing outside Canada may expose information to the laws and lawful access powers of another jurisdiction. Contact us before submitting sensitive information if you need details about the service providers or processing locations.
Protection and retention
We apply safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of personal information. No method of communication or storage is entirely risk-free. Restaurant reports are intended for private account access, with email notifications containing a secure sign-in link rather than a report attachment. Please use the designated upload channel for source records.
Information is retained only as long as needed for the identified purposes and applicable legal obligations, then securely deleted or de-identified where appropriate. Current and prior submissions may support monthly, year-to-date and year-over-year comparisons. You can ask about retention or request deletion; some billing, legal or dispute records may need to be retained.
Website technologies
Technical information, such as browser details and IP addresses, may be processed to operate and protect the website. Before optional analytics or advertising technologies are enabled, the site will explain their purposes and provide consent choices where required. External links lead to services governed by their own privacy policies.
Access, correction and concerns
We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA where it applies. You can request access to or correction of your information, withdraw consent or raise a concern through Contact FSG, addressed to the person responsible for privacy. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within applicable legal time limits. If a request cannot be fulfilled, we will explain the reason, subject to legal restrictions.
Unresolved privacy concerns may also be directed to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Material changes to this policy will be posted here, with additional notice or consent where required.
